Who are we?

Good day, if you don't know us yet, we'd like to officially introduce ourselves. It won't take long - I promise (in my small but fine factory, there are only two employees). First, there's yours truly - I play the role of the owner. I take care of production, design, purchasing, and all the other matters that I can't think of right now. And second, there's my furry little colleague. As a financial expert, she primarily takes care of the mice - she holds the position of deputy cat.

What can you find here?

For me, everything revolves around my great passions: music—especially the harsh sounds—and the dark side of human civilization. I primarily focus on producing various handmade small series or one-off pieces related to guitars. I then indulge my penchant for the morbid in the design of various items of clothing and household items. Both can be found in my (more or less) regular blog.

Why Ker artwork?

You're probably wondering what the name means. I could babble on mystically and offer God knows what absurd explanations. But I won't. The reason is quite simple. In my early days, I was primarily concerned with building high-quality electric guitars. All of these guitars had a setup that felt most at home in thrash, black, or death metal—which isn't to say

that they aren't also suitable for jazz, blues, or whatever else - but I am a dedicated metalhead. And that's exactly why I wanted to give my guitars, and thus a company, a name that reflects that. It should be powerful, merciless, and also a little apocalyptic. At first I thought of names like Bullet - but that seemed a little too far removed from the topic for me. Many days and beers later, I had the idea of naming it after a god of death. My first candidate was Thanatos, son of Nyx and Erebus. He was one of the three gods of death in ancient Greece. Purely acoustically, the name had something to it, but it stood for a gentle death, which didn't really fit with my musical concept. It wasn't so tragic, after all, he had two siblings. The next candidate was his brother Hypnos, also known as the god of sleep - the even gentler method - even more inappropriate. So that left only the sister of the two - Ker. As the goddess of violent death, she was a perfect fit - which is why she became the namesake.
